How it works

  1. Add funds to your tray using the secure payment flow in the app.
  2. Move money into a digital tzedakah box so giving remains intentional, visible, and separate from everyday spending.
  3. Choose from curated charity destinations when a box is ready to distribute.
  4. MitzvahBox records the allocation and payment status so support and reconciliation can trace what happened.

The first app experience is deliberately simple: tray, boxes, charities, and history. The broader MitzvahBox vision is a trusted home for tzedakah, family practice, school giving, synagogue campaigns, and Jewish community action.

Why the pilot is curated

Tzedakah Box starts with a limited charity set so the team can verify payment handling, support, payout readiness, and ledger reconciliation before expanding. Curated does not mean closed forever. It means the trust boundary is intentional while the platform is young.

Families, schools, synagogues, and giving circles can use the same habit: place money aside first, choose thoughtfully, and keep a clear record.

Trust

The first trust promise is practical: MitzvahBox can help show that platform-managed funds were received, allocated to selected destinations, and paid out or queued according to the ledger.

Future transparency work may include charity reports, community liaison review, and independent audit signals where available. MitzvahBox does not claim to verify every dollar of downstream charity spending unless that evidence has actually been collected and reviewed.

Payments and privacy

Payments are processed through Stripe and Apple Pay where available. The app does not store full credit card numbers. Payment provider references, tray activity, box allocations, support IDs, and charity destination choices may be stored so donations can be reconciled and support requests can be handled.

MitzvahBox does not sell personal information and does not use third-party advertising tracking.

The MitzvahBox vision

MitzvahBox begins with Tzedakah Box because giving is a concrete habit with a clear object: a box. Once that flow is trusted, the same product family can support broader Jewish patterns such as mitzvah goals, community projects, classroom challenges, family reminders, and charitable campaigns.

Tzedakah Box is the first step, not the ceiling.

MitzvahBox is a donation facilitation platform, not a registered charity. Tax receipts, where available, are issued by receiving charities. Users should review the amount, charity, and destination before confirming a payment or allocation.
